High school students are given many opportunities to have a college campus experience while in high school. This page will be updated regularly with a variety of campus events.

By attending the DSU Preview, you’ll get a chance to experience what it’s like to be a student at Dixie State University. You’ll also get to meet and make friends with other seniors looking to attend Dixie State. It’s an awesome weekend filled with fun activities, interactive presentations, food, and more!

Summer Opportunities:
 
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah will offer a four-week-long mathematics program for talented high school students from June 17 - July 12, 2019. This program is an intensive and deep focus on number theory and should be a transformative experience for students.  The Deadline to Apply: March 31Click here for all the details and the link to the application.
 
 
 
 
 
Boys State will be held June 10-14, 2019 at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.  Boys are eligible to attend the summer after their junior year. For more information, click here.

Engineering State is a fun-filled 4-day summer camp for students entering their senior year of high school. Participants explore how engineering has changed our world and learn what earning a degree in engineering is all about. Many of our graduates have majored in engineering and now have successful, fulfilling careers.  Registration fills up quickly and is done on a first come first served basis.  Application opens January 1 and closes February 28, 2019.  Cost: $250 - includes accommodations and all meals.
 
 
 
Exploring Engineering Camp
University of Utah June 18-20, 2019

 

9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (ends at 3:00 p.m. on the 20th)
Audience: 9th-12th grade (girls and boys aged 15-18)

Explore engineering in this three-day summer camp experience on the University of Utah Campus. Participate in technologies and activities that encourage the use of problem-solving skills. The camp will introduce you to chemical, electrical, civil, environmental, computer, mechanical, materials, and biomedical engineering through hands on learning! Join us, along with other high school students, researchers and college students from the University of Utah, College of Engineering.

Do you love to draw and create? Enjoy taking photographs? Thrive on seeing the world in new ways?

Design Week, June 17–22, 2019 is an exciting, one-week overnight camp for youth ages 15 to 18 who love creating and being around others who love it too. Design Week combines three disciplines into one amazing week: Illustration, Graphic Design, and Photography. No need to sign up for different tracks, all Design Week participants will experience an immersive week together drawing, creating, and bonding.

BYU’s amazing professors will help you take your work and creativity to the next level. You will even have a chance to show off your work in a gallery show at the end of the week!

Now in its third year on BYU's Provo campus, Design Week has become a highly sought-after art experience for students across the country and the world. Don’t miss out!
