Girls Tennis Update

As a team we took 2nd overall, they did not give us a point total but I can say that it was by a lot. The next team in line was Juan Diego and we beat them in 3 of 4 matches played head to head during the tournament.

This is a big accomplishment for us, especially given that we are playing in a 7 team conference now instead of a 5 team.

1st singles - Victoria Fidler: took 2nd over-all –Qualified for State
Beat Ben Lomond 6-0, 6-0
Beat Bonneville 1-6, 6-2, 6-1
Final Lost to Park City – 1-6, 0-6

2nd Singles - Kally Smith – took 5th overall
Lost to Bonneville 4-6, 1-6
Lost to Juan Diego 7-5, 5-7, 0-6

3rd singles - Chanda Bigelow – Took 4th overall – Qualified for State
Beat Juan Diego – 6-3, 6-3
Lost to Park City 0-6, 0-6
Beat Tooele 6-3, 6-2
Lost to Bonneville, 2-6, 3-6

1st Doubles – Maddie Johansen and Hannah Anderson – Took 2nd Overall – Qualified for State
Beat Ogden 6-1, 6-0
Beat Juan Diego 6-3, 6-0
Lost to Park City 1-6, 1-6

2nd Doubles – Mia Thurber and Kenzi Knudsen – Took 2nd Overall – Qualified for State
Beat Bonneville , 6-2, 6-2
Beat Juan Diego, 6-3, 6-3
Lost to Park City, 3-6, 2-6

3rd Doubles – Alyssa Pritzkau and Shauna Graves – Took 2nd Overall – (No state for 3rd doubles)

Lost to Park City 3-6, 3-6
